abstract = {Colombia  and  Venezuela  experienced  one  of  their  worst  bilateral  crises  in  2015  with  the  closure of the border by the Nicolas Maduro government. Due to the impact that this closure had on the lives of border residents, the issue occupied the top of the agenda for an important period.The  Media  Observatory  of  the  University  of  La  Sabana  analyzed  the  coverage  of  the  border  crisis  carried  out  by  the  RCN,  Caracol  and  TRO newscasts  seeking  to  identify  the  agenda,  the  frames  and  informative elements predominant in the mediatic construction of the crisis.There is a strong imbalance in the mediatic construction of the conflict, a strong participation of citizen sources and a tendency to dominate dramatic approaches in informational frames, without abandoning the political component of the crisis.},
abstract = {Colombia y Venezuela vivieron una de sus peores crisis bilaterales en el año 2015 con el cierre de la frontera por parte del gobierno de Nicolas Maduro. Por el impacto que dicho cierre tuvo sobre la vida de los residentes en la frontera el tema ocupó los primeros lugares de la agenda por un periodo de tiempo importante.El Observatorio de Medios de la Universidad de la Sabana analizó el cubrimiento de la crisis fronteriza realizado por los noticieros RCN, Caracol y TRO buscando identificar la agenda, los frames y elemen-tos informativos predominantes en la construcción mediática de la crisis.Se identifica un desbalance muy fuerte en la construcción mediática del conflicto, una fuerte partici-pación de fuentes ciudadanas y una tendencia al predominio de los enfoques dramáticos en los framesinformativos, sin abandonar el componente político de la crisis.},
