abstract = {El nuevo Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior marca unas exigencias en el proceso de enseñanzaaprendizaje, que han de hacer reflexionar a los docentes universitarios en sus metodologías y medios utilizados, a la vez que incorpora, por exigencia implícita en la actividad docente, la necesidad de armonizar la docencia con la acción tutorial. El profesor deja de ser la única y principal fuente de información para el alumno, para convertirse en colaborador, guía y facilitador de estrategias de aprendizaje.En este artículo queremos poner de manifiesto la importancia de la acción tutorial, que todo profesor ha de ejercer a lo largo de su actividad docente y que, realizada de forma coherente, será con toda seguridad garantía de eficacia educativa; con ello el alumno adquiere mayor autonomía, al enfrentarse a un trabajo intelectual con nuevas técnicas, que lo lleva a familiarizarse con nuevas fuentes de consulta y a aprender a generar y administrar su propio plan de aprendizaje.Aportamos actitudes y cualidades generales y concretas, que definen el ideal de un buen tutor, así como los modelos y las técnicas más adecuadas para llevar a cabo una acción tutorial exitosa y centrada en torno a los intereses de los alumnos a nivel del aprendizaje, personal o profesional.},
abstract = {The new European Higher Education Area imposes a number of requirements on the traditional teaching-learning process that should trigger certain important considerations in university teachers concerning their means and ways, in particular those related to their tutoring functions, as a result of the very spirit on which the new educational framework is based. Under this view, the teacher is no longer the one and only source of information for the student, and becomes a collaborator, a guide, and a facilitator of learning strategies.In this paper we intend to highlight the relevance of tutoring, a lifelong activity for teachers which, if carried out in a coherent manner, is undoubtedly an efficient educational means that enables students to cope with intellectual work involving new techniques and information resources, as well as to produce and manage their own learning plans.We provide both general and specific attitudes and qualities that define the ideal tutor, along with those models and techniques that we consider more appropriate for achieving effective, successful tutoring, focusing on the interests of students in terms of personal and professional learning.},
