@article{10818/13957, year = {2005}, url = {http://hdl.handle.net/10818/13957}, abstract = {The grammar proper to the description of facts does not satisfy the language of positive science, just because facts happen not to be neuter but significant, naturally armed with sense, with a meaning, a meaning that is written in the characteristic and universal language of that world, which is a symbolic language. What appears in close-up, the  appearances, attainable or accessible to the human way of knowing or getting to know the facts, is in turn a sign of a profoundly mysterious reality. Human biology, in showing that each human being is not submerged in the natural processes of physiology, leaves knowledge open to mystery.There is no “biological property” to explain the free, intellectual and loving opening of human beings towards other beings. But biology does splendidly describe the biological assumptions of the gift of personal freedom. Indeed, there are prototypically human - therefore universal - experiences that, because they are empirically verifiable facts, provide us with the certainty that the world, life, and each one of the existing human beings make sense. The luminosity of nature, by which it becomes accesible to our knowledge, is a natural revelation of its Maker(*), that was besides told to all and for all with the primitive revelation, adding in that way to human rationality a support in the reliance of who is narrating what He has done. And that will only take an expression shape in the Judeo-Christian revelation. For this reason, scientific knowledge makes part of a wider human rationality. And, in opening itself to the other forms of knowledge, it can go towards these points of confluence of human thought of all ages, permitting us to look at reality in a clear and honest way.}, abstract = {Al lenguaje de la ciencia positiva no le basta la gramática propia de las descripciones de los hechos, precisamente porque los hechos no son neutros, sino significativos, naturalmente con sentido. Un significado que está escrito en el lenguaje propio y universal de ese mundo, que es un lenguaje simbólico. Lo que aparece en primer plano, las apariencias, asequible al modo humano de conocer los hechos, es, a su vez, signo de la realidad profundamente misteriosa. La biología humana, al mostrar que cada ser humano no está sumergido en los procesos naturales de la fisiología, deja el conocimiento abierto al misterio. No existe una “propiedad biológica” que explique la apertura libre, intelectual y amorosa de los seres humanos hacia otros seres. Pero la biología describe espléndidamente los presupuestos biológicos del don de la libertad personal. En efecto, hay experiencias prototípicamente humanas y, por lo tanto, universales, que siendo hechos comprobables empíricamente dan la certeza de que el mundo, la vida y cada uno de los seres humanos tienen sentido. La luminosidad de la naturaleza, por la que se hace accesible a nuestro conocimiento, es una revelación natural de su Hacedor, que fue además contada con la revelación primitiva a todos y para todos los hombres, añadiéndose así a la racionalidad humana un apoyo en la confianza de quien relata lo que hizo. Y que sólo tomará una forma de expresión nítida en la revelación judeocristiana. Por ello, el conocimiento científico forma parte de una racionalidad humana más amplia. Y abriéndose a las otras formas de conocimiento, puede ir hacia esos puntos de confluencia del pensamiento humano de todas las épocas, que permiten mirar limpiamente la realidad.}, publisher = {Universidad de La Sabana}, keywords = {Lenguaje de la ciencia positiva}, keywords = {Razón técnica}, keywords = {Razón ética}, keywords = {Fuerza del hecho biológico}, keywords = {Experiencia humana de hechos empíricos}, title = {Liberar la verdad científica}, author = {López Moratalla, Natalia}, }
