dc.description.abstractActualmente, el dolor fantasma es tratado con numerosas intervenciones farmacológicas y no farmacológicas, sin embargo, a largo plazo, estas intervenciones siguen siendo inefectivas. La realidad virtual es una tecnología que crea una representación virtual de la extremidad faltante que permite a los pacientes trabajar de manera interactiva. Estudios han demostrado que la realidad virtual, alivia el dolor de miembro fantasma. Estos ensayos muestran que la RV es una aproximación rápida y exitosa para tratar el dolor fantasma. En esta revisión, se discuteel efectoque tiene la realidad virtual como estrategia de fisioterapia parael manejo del dolor fantasma en adultos con amputaciónen alguna extremidad. Se revisaron las bases de datos, OVID, Scopus y PubMedy ClinicalKeyencontrando evidencia sobre el uso de realidad virtual en el tratamiento del dolor fantasma.es_CO
