%X El presente artículo tiene por objetivo desarrollar algunas ideas acerca de la naturaleza del discurso poético dentro de la discusión epistemológica que sobre el lenguaje llevó a cabo el Círculo de Viena en la segunda mitad del siglo XX, especialmente en la obra de Wittgenstein y Rudolf Carnap. Del mismo modo se atraerán a dicha discusión la visión que sobre el lenguaje presenta Michel Foucault en su obra Las palabras y las cosas al tiempo que se pretende, a manera de síntesis, utilizar la obra de Octavio Paz para señalar y dimensionar el papel de la palabra poética en dicha discusión.
%X The objective of this article is to develop certain ideas about the nature of poetic discourse in the epistemological discussion of language pursued by the Vienna Circle during the second half of the twentieth century, especially in the work of Wittgenstein and Rudolf Carnap. It also it brings to the discussion the
particular vision of language presented by Michel Foucault in his work Words and Things, while intending, through synthesis, to use the work of Octavio Paz to identify and gauge the role of the poetic word in that discussion.
