%X This paper addresses the important role of the domestic justice in the pro
-
tection of the right to access to international justice, and in our case the 
Inter-American justice. Within this purpose, the text explains the existence 
of a right to an effective international remedy in the Inter-American Human 
Rights System, and describes some of its peculiarities. Also, it shows the 
importance of national justice in the effectiveness of the international remedy 
and addresses certain issues with regard to the implementation of international 
judgments in the domestic sphere, considering that international rulings are 
binding and have the same nature of national judicial decisions. Finally, the 
paper deals with some reflections on possible internal remedies to comply 
with international rulings in Colombia.
%X El presente artículo pretende demostrar que la justicia nacional tiene un 
papel muy importante en la efectividad del derecho de acceso a la justicia 
internacional, en particular, en nuestro caso, la interamericana. Con este 
propósito, explica por qué existe un derecho a un recurso efectivo internacional en el ámbito del Sistema Interamericano de Derechos Humanos, 
describe su alcance y algunas de sus particularidades. Así mismo, muestra 
la importancia de la justicia nacional en la efectividad de ese recurso internacional y aborda ciertas problemáticas en relación con la implementación 
de las sentencias internacionales en el ámbito interno, partiendo del hecho 
de que las sentencias internacionales son obligatorias y tienen la misma 
naturaleza que una sentencia judicial interna. Por último, el texto aborda 
algunas reflexiones sobre posibles acciones judiciales nacionales para el 
cumplimiento de los fallos internacionales en Colombia.
