abstract = {This doctoral thesis proposes the design of a methodological framework for the configuration of networks of Urban Logistics Spaces (ULS) for the distribution system of goods in urban contexts. In this work, a typology of ULS’s is considered vital, in order to contribute to an exhaustive analysis both at an academic and practical level with the aim of proposing applicable solutions close to reality. This research is relevant due to the current need of the logistics system in general, in relation to an adequate location of logistics spaces according to the decision level and specificities of the problem in order to improve the flow of goods in a city. In this methodological framework, the needs, judgments, and criteria of the different parties interested and/or affected by the system are considered. Accordingly, in this research, the view of multiple stakeholders will be analyzed with various indicators for decision making on the location of ULSs and/or reconfigurations of ULS networks. In order to answer the main question of this research, "How to define a network of Urban Logistics Spaces (ULS) in a multi-stakeholder decision context? " a methodological framework has been designed that captures the key elements to be addressed in a decision-making process of this nature. The methodological proposal involves the selection of a group of stakeholders, the most relevant criteria to consider, the selection of a multi-criteria technique as a support for making a specific decision according to the dimensions and variables of the location problem (FLP), the definition of the problem according to the context of analysis. This allows to analyze the location of ULS in a unified way, regardless of the context of study, while considering each of the specified problem, objective, and context.},
abstract = {Esta tesis doctoral propone el diseño de un marco metodológico para la configuración de redes de Espacios 
Logísticos Urbanos (ELU) para el sistema de distribución de mercancías en contextos urbanos. En este 
trabajo, se considera vital una tipología de ELU’s, con el fin de contribuir a un análisis exhaustivo tanto a 
nivel académico, como práctico con el fin de proponer soluciones aplicables y próximas a la realidad. Esta 
investigación es relevante debido a la necesidad actual del sistema logístico en general, en relación con una 
adecuada localización de los espacios logísticos según el nivel de decisión y especificidades del problema
con el fin de mejorar el flujo de mercancías en una ciudad. En este marco metodológico se consideran las 
necesidades, juicios y criterios de las diferentes partes interesadas y/o afectadas por el sistema. En 
consiguiente, en esta investigación, se analizará la visión de múltiples partes interesadas con varios
indicadores para la toma de decisiones sobre la ubicación de los ELU y/o las reconfiguraciones de las redes 
de ELU. 
Con el fin de responder la principal pregunta de esta investigación: “¿Cómo definir una red de Espacios 
Logísticos Urbanos (ELU) en un contexto de decisión con múltiples partes interesadas? “Se ha diseñado un 
marco metodológico que recoge los elementos clave a abordar en un proceso de toma de decisiones de esta 
naturaleza. La propuesta metodológica involucra la selección de un grupo de actores, los criterios más 
relevantes a considerar, la selección de una técnica multicriterio como apoyo para la toma de una decisión 
específica de acuerdo con las dimensiones y variables del problema de localización (FLP), la definición del 
problema de acuerdo con el contexto de análisis. Lo que permite analizar la localización de ELU de manera 
unificada, independientemente del contexto de estudio, mientras se consideran cada una de las especificadas 
del problema, objetivo y contexto.},
