Instruments have been designed in North American school contexts to try to assess it. However, these are meager in Colombia. For that reason, this study was designed to evaluate the psychometric properties of the school-climate and safety questionnaire for adolescents enrolled in public schools in the city of Medellín (Colombia). The scale was applied to 3,460 students who were selected through a process of two-stage probabilistic sampling. Relative and absolute frequencies were calculated. The psychometric properties of internal consistency, reliability, discriminant power, content validity, predictive and construct were evaluated.
