abstract = {This article describes the results of research whose aim was to
identify to what degree a knowledge management system can contribute to safeguarding the immaterial cultural heritage of Barranquilla’s Carnival. The study resorted to lexicographical techniques
as a concrete methodology during the phase of compiling materials,
making possible the storage, analysis and evaluation of the information in all written documents, in order to construct a corpus of terms
for this festival. Likewise, a knowledge management system was
designed according to the recommendations for safeguarding data
given by UNESCO. In addition, more than 800 terms related to Barranquilla’s Carnival were identified using a digital lexicographical
card designed for this purpose. A methodology was consolidated for
the safeguard and a model for managing the Immaterial Cultural
Heritage was created.},
abstract = {Este artículo describe los resultados de investigación cuyo objetivo era identificar en qué medida un Sistema de Gestión del Conocimiento contribuye con la salvaguardia del Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial del Carnaval de Barranquilla. Se recurrió a las técnicas lexicográficas como metodología concretamente la fase de recolección de materiales, la cual hizo posible el almacenamiento, análisis y evaluación de la información de todos sus documentos escritos, con el fin de construir el corpus de términos de esta fiesta. Asimismo, se diseñó un Sistema de Gestión del Conocimiento acorde con las recomendaciones de salvaguardia dadas por la UNESCO, además, se identificaron más de 800 términos relacionados con el Carnaval de Barranquilla por medio de una ficha lexicográfica digital diseñada para tal fin.
